Citizens Jury Project Internship

The Citizens Jury Project, housed at the Fund for Modern Courts, is staffed by student interns who work on jury reform in New York. The project's OmbudService responds to jurors' ideas and concerns and assesses the conditions of New York courts through ongoing data collection and analysis.

Interns staff the following Ombudservice Booths:

  60, 100 & 111 Centre Street Courthouses (Manhattan)

  320 Jay St. Courthouse (Brooklyn)

  360 Adams Courthouse (Brooklyn)

120-55 Queens Boulevard Courthouse (Kew Gardens, Queens)

  215 East 161 Street (Bronx)

100 Supreme Court Drive, (Minneola-Nassau County, Long Island)

Interns deal firsthand with the issues affecting jurors. In addition to working in the courts, interns have the opportunity to conduct legal and policy research, and visit a variety of courts and court-affiliated organizations.
